This road closure will cause considerable inconvenience for anybody travelling to Aveton Gifford from Bigbury. It is unclear whether egress from the Tidal Road at AG will be possible. The alternative route offered is via Totnes to Kingsbridge but shorter alternatives are available via ‘back’ roads to Loddiswell.
